AMAZING!
AMAZING! We went for a pizza-making class but also learned how to make pasta. We started with coffee, made pasta, had some wine and appetizers, and then made pizza. After we were done with cooking we sat to eat what we had made with some more wine. Paolo and Francesca were incredible chefs and made our experience so much fun. Wonderful cooking class experience

This is a must, loved it.
From start to finish, this was incredible fun. All ages all abilities all appetites. This cookery course really catered to the customer and with a big heart. We were amazed at how much we learnt and how full we were when we ate what we had made (and it’s plentiful), plenty to drink and endless laughs. This is something you don’t want to miss. Highlight of our trip to Taormina
It was such an enjoyable and authentic experience to learn to make real Sicilian food in Sicily. Our instructor Luca was very kind and funny. He gave us very good and specific instructions on how to make Arancini. Then we had a dinner eating of our own self-made arancinis and riso al forno. It was such a great and fun evening. A fun taste and touch of Sicilian culinary culture
Fabulous experience. Chef Maurizio is a treasure: great with kids and willing to share (some of) his secrets. Our canolli turned out great. We had way too many! But the group fun was the main prize. We can't back the next night to try the pizza. We weren't disappointed. My daughter was overjoyed Maurizio remembered her!

Favorite part of our vacation
This was our favorite part of our trip to Taormina! The market tour was educational and exciting, as we saw where all of our fresh food was coming from. We ended up getting a private lesson, which was incredibly engaging, and the final dishes were incredible. All the restaurant staff were so kind and funny, making the experience that much better. Taste of Sicily at Porta Messina Ristorante
We took this on our first full day, so we were a bit jet lagged, but this kept our attention from start to finish. I was impressed with how friendly the chef and all the kitchen staff were. My hubby isn't a cook but still had a grand time! Cooking is a passion of mine, and I enjoyed learning professional tips and the stories behind each dish. We ate and drank so much... my advice is to take this class, but don't eat breakfast or plan any dinner because you will eat more than your fill.

Mamma Mia! What has the cook done?!
The food was so delicious that I will compare every pizza and pasta I have in the future with that from this restaurant. The standard has been set way higher! We ate here three times during our five-day stay and if we come back to Taormina, it will be because of this restaurant. The team is super friendly and really takes care of their guests, the restaurant is beautifully decorated in a traditional style and the outside area is also very inviting. Thank you very much for your hospitality!
